I must admit that I sometimes feel that my work drains the very life out of me. Imagine going through the trouble of waking up early, getting ready, braving rush hour traffic, making a mad dash to the office elevator, enduring a grueling day of hard work, and then undergoing the same thing every day. Sometimes just thinking about it seems exhausting. But work would not be called just that if it were a walk in the park.
Contemplating about my tiring work situation over a very late dinner last week, I suddenly felt the urge to give myself a treat. At the insistence of my husband, seeing how spent I was sometimes when I came home from work, he advised me to go on a vacation with friends. When I got together with my friends over the weekend, I told them about my husband's suggestion and my urgent need to take a break lest I exploded from all the work pressure. All of them seemed delighted by the idea of travel, and they were soon giving their own suggestions on when and where we should head off for our vacation getaway.
Inspired by one of my officemate's stories of his trip to San Francisco, I suggested that we could go to the Bay Area. I told them we could visit the California Academy of Sciences, which is the only place in the world with an aquarium, planetarium, and natural history museum under one roof. My friends liked the idea of going to San Francisco, and one of them piped in that we could take a San Francisco Bay Cruise, a one-hour cruise along the city's waterfront and past scenic spots such as Pier 39, the Golden Gate Bridge and around the island of Alcatraz.
Soon, every one of us was getting excited over all the talk of a San Francisco getaway. All of us agreed that it really would be something to look forward to. Another friend suggested that we could experience some eclectic arts and culture scene at the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, which features the classic bard's known works such as The Comedy of Errors and Romeo and Juliet. We also liked the idea of doing some diamond shopping at Simayof in Union Square.
Everybody was all set to a San Francisco vacation until we logged on to the Internet in search of some discount codes we could use to save money on our trip. We were scanning some travel promo codes when we chanced upon some Xtremez coupon codes, which really caught our interest because they gave big discounts on several sports and outdoor activities.
The moment we set eyes on those Xtremez coupons, and gauging by the thrilled reaction of the majority of our group, I knew that all our San Francisco trip suggestions and plans were closest to being shelved as they could get. I myself got worked up with the idea of engaging in some kind of outdoor sports. It's something new for me and it would be a great way to unwind and have a truly memorable vacation.
Needless to say, we left each other's company that weekend with the promise of solidifying our plans for an outdoor adventure using the Xtremez promo codes we found. When I told my husband about our plans, he was enthusiastic about it and told me that we should really push for such one-of-a-kind vacation.
