Xperience Days promotional codes are one of my favorite things come gift-giving occasions. I love browsing through their site to look for things that I could purchase for friends and family that could help them enrich their lives. I love the idea that I could get them something that they've never experienced before, something they've thought about but never got around to doing because they were either too afraid to step out of their comfort zone, or were worried about the financial implications.
Personally, I find that life is to short to limit one's experiences to the realms of what one already knows. It's always a challenge that my family puts to each other - every member loves finding new things to try and share with the rest of us, and we all encourage everyone else to try new things in order to experience life to the fullest. I was lucky enough to have grown up with the type of parents who not only encouraged that behavior, but also held themselves up to the same standards. I remember my father saying that if a year passed without him learning a new skill, or trying something new and fresh, it would have been a wasted year. I also remember my mother taking up French cuisine when she was almost 50, inspired by the story and cooking prowess of culinary icon Julia Child. She wasn't shy about standing in a room of young wives and culinary wanna-bes, she just wanted to learn and experience something she loved to do on a whole new level.
Inspired by my parents' example, I always encourage everyone around me to live life bravely and experience everything they want to - within reason, of course. Experiencing life to the fullest can mean a lot of things for a lot of people - it can mean attaining that master's degree that you've always wanted, or feeling the thrill of adrenaline surging though your veins as you participate in extreme sports, mastering a skill you've always dreamed oh having, or it could be simply indulging yourself in an excellent meal.
That's why it's such a treasure to have online coupons that help me open the eyes of friends and family to brand new experiences. Last year alone, using Xperience Days promotional codes, I gave my best friend's son a skydiving lesson for a graduation present, my husband wine tasting classes, my brother and his wife a culinary cruise for their tenth anniversary, and my sister a spa day for her 35th birthday.
It occurred to me, however, that my motives may not have been completely selfless, especially when I realized how much I enjoyed hearing their stories of their enjoyment of my gifts. I loved hearing them enthuse over things that they discovered, loved seeing their eyes light up with a passion for learning, and especially loved seeing them happy and full of life. So in the end, I may be just using my Xperience Days coupon codes to make myself happy by making my loved ones happy - which, all things considered, may not be such a bad thing.
