I've recently discovered a new love for foreign artists and their music. Thanks to YouTube and other Internet music sites, I have access to a variety of songs from foreign artists whose songs are not played on local American radio.
I'm always on the lookout for new songs and albums from some of my favorite foreign artists, and I find that the announcements in their mailing lists and in their websites are very helpful in keeping me up to date with their music. Since I usually leave comments whenever a new song or video is posted on their websites, I have gained a few friends who share the same fondness I have for the foreign artists and their music.
I now have virtual friends from countries as far as Korea, China, Japan and Thailand, and we usually inform each other when our favorite artists have new MTVs or if they have concerts that we can watch online.
It's amazing how we're now corresponding like we are the closest of friends. Even though we're thousands of miles apart and have never seen each other - and probably will never see each other - in person, the same passion we have for music has melted all the distance, time zone, age and racial barriers between us. We're always sharing online updates that keep our communication lines open. And this is one of the million and one things I thank modern technology for.
This fascination for foreign music and the constant communication with my virtual friends also got me interested in various electronics that enable me to appreciate and enjoy the songs better. In fact, I bought a new iPod using the UXcell coupon codes recommended by my online friends.
One of my virtual friends announced in our group mailing list that Rain (a.k.a. Rain Bi), a popular Korean artist who is also topmost on my list of great Korean performers, was featured in Discovery Channel. This was actually what made me want to buy a new iPod and download all his songs. I was glad that I was able to find some UXcell promo codes that offered big discounts on a wide range of choices.
Since my introduction to several popular foreign artists, my officemates would often catch me humming a new song now and then. They often asked me what song I was humming because the melody sounded unfamiliar to them, and I would explain to them my new foreign music discoveries. I would sometimes let them listen to the songs on my iPod and they would often agree to the immense talent of my favorite foreign performers.
I'm often amazed that my officemates appreciate the music I share with them. It usually takes patience to listen to these foreign artists because most of their songs are rendered in their native language. But even though I don't understand a word they're saying, their voices and the manner they perform with all their heart are enough to touch my soul and trigger my inexplicable fondness for their music. I was also able to influence some of them to buy iPods and download the songs of my favorite foreign artists. They were also able to buy their iPods at discounted prices because I told them to avail of UXcell coupons in their purchases.
