The eldest girl, Terri, was a little overweight and conscious about it. She wore baggy clothing and sweats were the staple of her entire wardrobe. Her mother wore pretty much the same thing, but attributed it to working from home and not having the time to care about her appearance.
Their friends had all asked them to let themselves be made over, but the answer was always the same - none of them had the time or the inclination to shop. Each woman thought it was a waste of time, and each one always admitted that she wouldn't know where to start. Besides, each of them was a strong-willed, independent woman, and if someone was going to make her over, it would be herself.
