Leave it to my gadget-crazy husband to find an online coupon that would let him have his dream recreational space and still keep his budget on track. I still can't believe he completed the entire project so soon - in less than two months, we had a gorgeous rec room fit for the entire family.
George, of course, had decided to do all the carpentry himself to save on costs. A little rewiring, and some new paneling was all that was needed, aside from a new coat of paint. He'd asked a friend to help him reupholster the old couches in the room, and another friend helped me make window treatments. All in all, it was a very cost-effective endeavor, but there was one thing I worried about - the cost of the electronics that he had wanted to buy to replace the old (and, in the case of the speakers, broken) ones that we had.
When I brought the subject up, my husband tut-tutted at me and simply showed me the Mwave.com coupon codes he had found while browsing the web for some tools that he needed. I was skeptical, though. Coupon fan that I am, I still wondered just how a few Mwave.com coupon codes were going to help us get all the new equipment he wanted - speakers, a blu-ray player, and a bigger television. To top it all off, I had asked him to put off the rec room upgrades because he had needed a new laptop and the home desktop needed a few new upgrades itself.
So I went online and looked up the site myself, and lo and behold, the items offered on the site were priced way lower than they would if we bought them anywhere else. But then I realized that everything was refurbished, and I began to worry. Weren't refurbished goods always of poor quality? Would the savings be worth it if the devices broke down after a few months?
As I read on, I found I was mistaken in believing that refurbished goods were items that were used by previous owners and then thrown away. While some of the items were second-hand, the store had more items brought in from various sources. Many of these machines were in-store demo pieces that had simply gotten too dirty to be a selling point but were otherwise fine. Some had been returned to the company for some minor flaw that the company easily corrected. Because the law prohibits the resale of returned goods under the "brand new" label, these goods are dubbed "refurbished" and sold at fantastic prices. In some cases, the product was technically new - the customer had simply returned it because they had changed their mind about buying it.
Many of the refurbished electronics were under a limited warranty, but that hardly made a dent on my husband and my excitement as the "new" items began arriving. We now enjoy a fully functional recreation room, thanks to his ingenuity and Mwave.com promo codes.
