I totally enjoyed the sleepover I had with my favorite group of girl friends last weekend as we spent hours and hours talking about every topic we could think of and, of course, every hunky man we could name and fantasize about. It was so much fun screaming, laughing and throwing pillows at each other as we shared anecdotes and tidbits about our various encounters with different people.
It’s the type of girl bonding I really miss from my college days. We used to go out all the time, scout bars for the best looking guys, drink the night away, and just simply have the time of our lives. It’s one of the best things about being a woman. Girl bonding is really priceless especially when shared with the best of friends.
So during the night of the sleepover, which was held in one of our girl friends’ house, we stayed awake until the wee hours of the morning talking as if the world had stood still and we were the only ones moving. We talked as if there were no tomorrow or that time really froze outside the confines of our friend’s room. We talked about so many things, about each of our lives, our experiences with boys, the frustrations and joys of our careers, and the priceless rewards of being female.
We had lingered on the topic on femininity because we each contributed our insights about it. First, the topic was merely on looking good and feeling good about being a woman, making the most of our gifted female charm, and then the subject drifted to the more serious discussion of gender equality.
It was a healthy debate as we exchanged thoughts on women’s rights. The topic got lighter again after one of the girls commented on how it’s unfair that some men harass women or make sleazy remarks and then blame it on women for dressing seductively. We girls all agreed that women should have the right to feel good about their body and be free to flaunt their physical assets without fear of having to deal sexual harassment or enduring rude sexist remarks from some men whose mentality still thrive in the stone age.
We all agreed that women should be free to dress and look as they please. One of the girls commented that she takes pleasure in looking as female and as womanly as she wants. She said she’s proud to be every inch a woman, and she loves dressing up and complementing her figure with the best lingerie she could find. She even took out the undies she brought along to the sleepover and showed us the Maidenform full-figure bras and panties which she said, and I quote, “always make me feel sexy."
While the rest of the girls took turns appreciating the Maidenform undergarments she showed us, our friend suddenly acted like a Maidenform sales representative as she encouraged us to buy some Maidenform products for ourselves. But it really wasn’t hard for her to convince us because we were already impressed by how Maidenform can help us flaunt or assets and make us even feel better about our womanhood. I myself made a mental note then to search for some Maidenform promo codes so I can start doing my own shopping for my Maidenform lingerie.
