It's always pleasant to find something that you never thought was possible while surfing the net. In this case, I was idly browsing through several pages, looking for online coupon codes, when I stumbled on a retail site that boasted that it carried thousands of items - all available at warehouse and wholesale prices. It even had its own exclusive set of promotions and coupon codes, LightInTheBox.com coupon codes,, even though the prices were already way beyond decent.
Upon closer inspection, it turned out that the website sourced its items directly from a Chinese wholesaler, explaining the reason for the low prices.
Intrigued, I began browsing through the website's pages - it was a more complicated task than I had thought it would be. The site literally had hundreds upon hundreds of links to all kinds of items, everything from jewelry to electronics. There were lovely party dresses, cute and fun toys, cameras, cellular phones, video games, pet needs, tableware, and even fixtures.
This veritable cornucopia of goods was to serve me well in the coming days, as I pointed it put to friends and family members that needed various things and had to work with a budget.
One such incident was when my daughter needed a slew of wigs for a cosplay event. I showed her where to find the LightInTheBox.com coupon codes, and let her oooh and aaah appreciatively over the wide assortment of wigs and costumes they had on the site. After a while, when I asked her what she had purchased, she simply answered "a couple of wigs and some stuff".
I knew she was being evasive because she had gone overboard and bought up everything she could afford, but I let it drop. Sure enough, when her order arrived, it was definitely more than "a couple of wigs and some stuff". Bright pink wigs that were tied up in different styles, long turquoise locks, fine raven wigs that reached to almost her knees, blond curls that tumbled down to the waist, short cropped wigs, and even one that was vividly red made an appearance at my doorstep.
Accompanying them were all sorts of dresses and costumes, including something that looked like a kimono, a ninja costume, a super-short schoolgirl's outfit, a long, flowing white dress, and something that resembled a maid's outfit. There were even a couple of jackets for the dog.
Apparently my enterprising daughter had thought to ask her friends to order from the same site and have everything shipped to our home to save on costs, and, aside from the unpleasant effect of giving me a shock, they had apparently accomplished just that. From that day forward, costumes arrived at our house fairly regularly, in big batches, much to the delight of the local cosplay community.
