Kmart, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sears Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ: SHLD), is a mass merchandising company that offers customers quality products through a portfolio of exclusive brands and labels.
Most Kmart stores are one-floor, free-standing units that carry a wide assortment of general merchandise, including products sold under such well-known labels as Jaclyn Smith, Joe Boxer, and Martha Stewart Everyday. Approximately 100 Kmart stores sell an assortment of Sears home appliances and by the end of 2006 it is expected that all Kmart stores will carry an assortment of Craftsman tools.
Approximately 1,100 Kmart stores also contain in-store pharmacies. The Super Centers generally operate 24-hours a day and combine a full-service grocery along with the general merchandise selection of a discount store. Kmart also sells its products through its kmart.com website.

Shipping Policy:Kmart.com uses three shipping methods: U.S. Postal Service, UPS package delivery, and Special Oversized Delivery Handling. Not all methods are available for all items.
U.S. Postal Service is used to ship gift cards and all orders to APO/FPO* addresses.
*Please note that although our website reflects a ship date based on the APO/FPO zip code, we ask that you allow an additional 4-6 weeks for the military postal service to deliver your package to its final destination.
UPS package delivery is the typical method of shipping for items that are not oversized and weigh less than 150 pounds. In addition to standard ground service, we offer a two-day air option and an overnight delivery option. Additional fees are charged for expedited shipping (see shipping rates table below).
Oversized Delivery is used for items that are big and bulky or weigh over 150 pounds. These items are shipped by common carrier and for most items you can select threshold, or premium service. For threshold service the driver will place your purchases at the door threshold or in your garage. For premium white glove service, the item is unloaded by professionals and carried for you to any room up to two flights, up-higher if you have a service elevator. Premium White Glove service may be required to make sure an item that needs extra protection arrives safely. Assembly is not included. A person 18 years or older must be available to meet the delivery and sign for the product(s). Our threshold delivery service is available for business and residential. Return Policy:Easy Returns
Our goal is that you are completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not satisfied, simply return your purchase in its original packaging, with your original packing slip and Kmart.com Order Confirmation E-mail Receipt within 90 days of your purchase, for a refund. If you are not satisfied with your purchase after this time period, please let us know. Your satisfaction is important to Kmart.

Speedy Refunds
We'll process your refund right away-within 30 days at the absolute most. It will...
* Be in the same form of payment
* Equal the "total unit price" of the items printed on your packing slip
* Exclude shipping and handling (unless there was a shipping mistake), gift wrap and other service charges
Rare Exceptions
* Autographed collectibles
* Personalized items
* Any opened software, CDs, CD-Roms, computer games, DVDs and videos
* Any opened baseball bat (which can be returned directly to the manufacturer)

How It Works
The instructions below are designed to expedite the return or your merchandise. Each of the steps below must be followed in order for Kmart to provide you with a satisfactory experience.
Return by mail
1. Place the item securely in the original package, if possible, keeping jewelry and other items separate
2. Include all paperwork, parts and accessories
3. Fill out the bottom of the packing slip, including the reason for your return, and put it in the package
4. Put the return address label from the packing slip over your original shipping address on the package
5. Insure your package and keep a copy of the tracking number
6. Please don't send C.O.D.-we can't accept it
All shipped items (UPS, US Postal Service, etc...) can be returned by mail using the packing slip provided
Returning to a Kmart Store
1. Place the item securely in the original package, if possible, keeping jewelry and other items separate

3. Fill out the bottom of the packing slip, including the reason for your return, and put it in the package

Oversized Item Returns
We cover shipping charges on returned Oversized Items only if the item arrives at the designated shipping address defective or damaged. We do not cover shipping charges on Oversized Items that are returned due to "buyer remorse." Please note: shipping charges can be expensive for Oversized Items.
Follow these steps to return an Oversized Item:
The item(s) must be unassembled and packaged securely. If possible, please package item(s) in original package.
Fill out the bottom of the packing slip, including the reason for your return, and put it in the package.
Contact a Customer Service Specialist to receive instructions on arranging for a freight delivery company to pick-up your item(s). Please have your order number available when you call.
You must be home at the time of pick-up and the item(s) must be at the door for the freight driver.
You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase within 30 business days of our receiving the item(s). You will be refunded the shipping cost if the return is a result of a manufacturer error or our error.
