After a careful reassessment of what I have been doing for the past year, I realized how I have practically surrendered my life to my career. I can't believe that I managed to live through an intensely tiring work situation for an entire year. I have indeed consistently worked my head off for the past year and it's no wonder that I'm starting to feel an unshakeable feeling of getting burned out from the kind of life I've been living lately. I have realized that I really need to give myself a well-deserved break before I start breaking down from all the stress and tension of my work.
I talked to my husband about this and asked him if we could travel somewhere. It doesn't matter if it's only for a short vacation. I just need to get away from it all even for a short while. Unfortunately, my husband is also one busy bee and his current work schedule just wouldn't allow for any vacation break. He promised me that he would try to free up some time for an out-of-the-country vacation for us by next year. However, he believed that I needed to take my personal break no later than next month, so he just suggested that I go on vacation with my closest friends.
Much as I want to spend this vacation with my husband, the idea of enjoying it with my group of closest friend is also an inviting thought. I felt excited about it but I was surprised at the reaction of my friends when I told them about my husband's suggestion. They all loved the idea and they seemed even more excited than I was. Why, they immediately bombarded me with so many suggestions on where we should go and what kinds of adventures we should have.
Inspired by one of my officemate's stories of his trip to San Francisco, I suggested that we could go to the Bay Area. I told them that we could visit the California Academy of Sciences, which is the only place in the world with an aquarium, planetarium, and natural history museum all under one roof. My friends liked the idea of going to San Francisco and one of them suggested that we take a San Francisco Bay Cruise, a one-hour cruise along the city's waterfront and past scenic spots such as Pier 39, the Golden Gate Bridge and around the island of Alcatraz.
All the talk about our vacation getaway was really lifting all our spirits. Soon, everybody was getting excited over all the talk of a San Francisco vacation. All of us agreed that it really would be something to look forward to. And so we settled to go to San Francisco and started determining the itinerary of our entire vacation. The next step would be to find a place for us to stay so I volunteered to look for hotels that offered the best deals on their accommodations and amenities.
One friend suggested that we avail of some Howard Johnson coupon codes because they gave her family the best discount offer when they had an out of town adventure last month. I immediately surfed the Internet for some available Howard Johnson coupons and was glad that I found a few that offered some really attractive deals that will greatly help us in saving money on our accommodations during our vacation.
And so now we just have to decide on the date we will all be free to take a vacation and we'll soon be on our way to San Francisco to have the time of our lives and save money at the same time courtesy of the Howard Johnson promo codes.
