Auto Barn began as H&M Auto Parts of Brooklyn, NY in 1957. This store as well as Globe, our first import-only store, were entirely dedicated to the wholesale trade. In 1964, the business expanded to Long Island with the addition of wholesale stores in Freeport and Lynbrook . To service our growing group of stores as well as other independent Jobbers, Rodi Automotive Inc., a Warehouse Distributor, was established at that time.

As the do-it-yourself retail market grew during the 1970’s more stores we opened which were designed to attract

both the professional installer as well as the do-it-yourselfer. With the opening of our seventh location in 1980, the name “Auto Barn” was adopted and all of our stores were redesigned with a consistent Auto Barn Superstore format. At the same time, a 50,000 square foot distribution center was built in Port Washington which serves as our corporate headquarters. This warehouse stocks over 35,000 name-brand parts and accessories making us one of New York's largest auto parts & accessories retailers and wholesalers.

PAYMENT METHODS: Credit Card We accept American Express, VISA, Master Card, Discover & Optima. If for any reason the information you provide for credit card payment is incorrect, we will contact you. If we are unable to contact you within 72 hours, the order will be cancelled. For orders that include items stocked in our warehouse, your credit card will be charged on the day your order leaves our warehouse. For orders that consist entirely of custom products or items that must be drop shipped from one of our manufacturers or distributors, your card will be charged on the day that your order is transmitted to these third parties. PayPal We accept payments made through PayPal. We will only ship to addresses confirmed on your PayPal account. This varies based on your location (we are on the east coast), product availability and shipping method. If all the products on your order are in stock then it will usually ship within 1-2 business days. Saturday and Sunday do not count as transit days. Ground delivery can take anywhere from 1-5 business days after we ship the item depending on your location. Some items may be "drop-shipped" directly from the manufacturer. Most drop-shipments are sent via Ground UPS or FedEX and generally arrive within 7-10 business days. How long will it take to get 2nd Day Air orders? If all the products on your order are in stock then it will usually ship within 1-2 business days. 2nd Day Air delivery will be received on the second business day after it is shipped. (Example: An item that is ordered on Wednesday and in stock, most likely WILL NOT be received by Friday. If it is shipped Thursday, it should be received by Monday.) Return Policy:

How long do I have to make a return? AutoBarn.com gives you a 30 day money-back guarantee to return items purchased from Autobarn.com. This policy does not apply to custom products. See below. What do I need to do for a return? Call our Customer Service Department at 1-888-484-9560 or 516-484-6497 (Within NY State) for a return authorization number (RGA#). You can also request an RGA# by e-mail. Please specify your order number, the product being returned, and the reason for the return. Please note: ANY ORDER SHIPPED BACK WITHOUT AN RGA# WILL CAUSE SIGNIFICANT DELAYS IN PROCESSING YOUR RETURN AND MAY INCUR UP TO A 30% RESTOCKING FEE. Where do I send in my return? When sending your return, please indicate the reason for your return and be sure to include a copy of your packing slip or receipt.
